Vigo Airport, also known as Vigo-Peinador (IATA code: VGO, ICAO code: LEVX), is located 9 kilometers from Vigo city center.

Built between 1947 and 1952, it was opened to civilian air traffic on 20 April 1954.

The airport has maintained a constant evolution since its beginnings, becoming a modern and strategic airport for the region of Galicia.

The AP-9 motorway connects the airport with the city centre. This journey takes about 20 minutes by taxi or car.
